Dear participants of 2013 BLOOD DONATION
PROGRAME,
On behalf of the GYAN
LAKSHAY (NGO) of our Second Blood Donation Programme on Health Promotion and
Education we are pleased to say thank you to each of you who have attended this
programme and thanks to our participants, special guests and guest speakers. We
appreciate you for taking the time and effort to be here. We also thank you for
your participation and the sharing your ideas and expertise. We certainly hope that
the programme has been all that you expected it to be and that you have taken
the opportunity to make new friends and renew old acquaintances and to have
discussion and exchange of many experiences, suggestions and opinions with decisions
makers, practitioners and researchers from all over the India.
Our objective for this programme
was to build on the achievements of the 1st Blood Donation Programme held last
year in Delhi with this year’s ultimate goal being to learn what we can do to
achieve a healthier India. To accomplish this, we established this year’s programme
agenda to enable us to discuss the many existing health problems and issues
facing us today and then to determine the necessary solutions, actions, policies
and programs to overcome these problems and issues. If we have been successful,
we will take all the things we have learned back home with us and the results
will be a healthier India by improving the health of our cities and
communities, schools and universities, hospitals and workplaces.
We have been very
fortunate to have a large group of well known experts in their respective
fields participate in our programme. This group includes Professors, Educators,
Doctors, Nurses, Social workers, Directors, Researchers, Consultants, Members
of Boards and other authorities. Their involvement resulted in our very successful
forums, workshops, symposiums, oral sessions and poster sessions. We want to
thank each of them and also all the moderators who skillfully guided each of
the group meetings. The direction of the conference was established early by
our first Special address speaker, William Michael Sparks, giving The IGLNGO
Strategic Plan and followed with very interesting topics by our other Special
speakers. Extremely important speeches were given by our Keynote speakers on
May 5 and May 6. We want to thank each for their participation and also the
moderators in charge of those sessions. We believe all here will agree that we
have achieved many results and can all agree that this year’s programe has been
a great success.
After closing our conference, we would like to
say again, on the behalf of the GLNGO, how much we appreciate all of the
co-organizers, supporting agencies, sponsors and conference staffs who
contributed the grants and their efforts to us during the one-year conference preparation.
We thank you. This programe would not have been a success without you. As we
conclude the programe, we hope each of us will work together for health
promotion. Welcome to Rajasthan again! See you in 2013 IGLNGO in Rajasthan and
the 3rd programe!
Yours sincerely
