क्या है रहस्य आदित्य ह्रदय स्तोत्र के पाठ का

जीवन में अचानक बाधाएं, कष्ट, रोग, शत्रु बाधा, असफलता, पारिवारिक तनाव जैसी समस्याएं आने लगती हैं तो मनुष्य अपनी जन्म कुंडली में छिपे रहस्यों के अनुसार ग्रह-नक्षत्रों की शांति के उपाय करता है। ऐसा करने से सकारात्मक परिणाम भी मिलने लगते हैं। सूर्य ग्रह के दोष की वजह से ह्रदय रोग होने की आशंका सबसे ज्यादा रहती है। इससे बचने के लिए स्वर्ण धातु की अंगूठी पहनने की सलाह दी जाती है।
आदित्य ह्रदय स्तोत्र का पाठ श्रद्धापूर्वक नियमित रूप से करते रहने से भी हृदय रोग में आशातीत लाभ मिलता है। आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र के पाठ से मिर्गी, ब्लड प्रैशर मानसिक रोगों में सुधार होने लगता है। आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र के पाठ से नौकरी में पदोन्नति, धन प्राप्ति, प्रसन्नता, आत्मविश्वास में वृद्धि होने के साथ-साथ समस्त कार्यों में सफलता व सिद्धि मिलने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है। आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र का पाठ आरम्भ करने के लिए शुक्ल पक्ष के प्रथम रविवार का दिन शुभ माना गया है। इसके बाद आने वाले प्रत्येक रविवार को यह पाठ करते रहना चाहिए।
इस दिन सूर्य देवता की धूप, दीप, लाल चंदन, लाल कनेर के पुष्प, घृत से पूजन करके उपवास रखना चाहिए। सांयकाल आटे से बने मीठे हलवे का प्रसाद लगाकर ग्रहण करना चाहिए। सूर्य देव के प्रति पूर्ण श्रद्धाभाव और विश्वास से नियम पूर्वक उनकी उपासना व आराधना करते रहने से लाभदायक फल मिलते हैं। सच्ची श्रद्धा से किया कोई भी जप-तप कभी भी व्यर्थ नहीं जाता है।

अपनी आदते सुधारिये

अपनी आदते सुधारिये गृह अपने आप शुभ फल देने लगेंगे जाने कैसे ?
आदत बदलने से ही ग्रह भी आपकी कुंडली के ठीक होते है।
मंदिर को साफ़ करते है तो बृहस्पति बहुत अच्छे फल देगा ।
अपनी झूठी थाली या बर्तन उसी जगह पर छोड़ना -सफलता मे कमी।
झूठे बर्तन को उठाकर जगह पर रखते है या साफ़ कर लेते है
तो चन्द्रमा , शनि ग्रह ठीक होते है ।
देर रात जागने से चन्द्रमा अच्छे फल नहीं देता है।
कोई भी बाहर से आये उसे स्वच्छ पानी जरुर पिलाए।
राहू ग्रह ठीक होता है । राहू का बुरा प्रभाव नहीं पड़ता ।
थूकने की आदत - यश,सम्मान मे कमी ।
रसोई को गन्दा रखते हैं तो आपको मंगल ग्रह से दिक्क्तें
आएँगी। रसोई हमेशा साफ़ सुथरी रखेंगै तो मंगल ग्रह ठीक होता ।
घर में सुबह उठकर पौधों को पानी दिया जाता है
तो हम बुध,सूर्य,शुक्र और चन्द्रमा मजबूत करते हैं ।
शराब और सिगरेट पीने से राहु खराब होता है ।
बाथरूम में कपडे इधर उधर फेंकते है , बाथरूम में
पानी बिखराकर आ जाते है तो चन्द्रमा अच्छे फल नहीं देता है।
बाहर से आकर अपने चप्पल , जूते , मोज़े इधर उधर फेंक देते
है ,उन्हें शत्रु परेशान करते है ।
राहू और शनि ठीक फल नही देते है जब बिस्तर
हमेशा फैला हुआ होगा , सलवटे होंगी ,चादर कही ,तकिया कही है।
चीख कर बोलेंने से शनि खराब खराब होता हैैं।
बुजूर्गों के आशीर्वाद से घर में सुख समृद्धि बढती है.
घर में बच्चे और वृद्ध खुश रहते है उस घर में
लक्ष्मी की कृपा बनी रहती है।
आप ने जाना की खराब आदतों के कारण से आप अपने
ग्रहों को खराब कर रहे है। अपने आप को बदलकर
देखिए,और ग्रहों के खराब प्रभाव ठीक कीजये।

शास्त्रो के अनुसार गर्भ धारण ....... !!

ऋतुकाल की उत्तरोत्तर रात्रियों में गर्भाधान श्रेष्ठ है लेकिन 11वीं व 13 वीं रात्रि वर्जित है।

यदि पुत्र की इच्छा करनी हो तो पत्नी को ऋतुकाल की 4,6,8,10 व 12वीं रात्रि में से किसी एक रात्रि का शुभ मुहूर्त पसंद कर समागम करना चाहिए।

यदि पुत्री की इच्छा हो तो ऋतुकाल की 5,7 या 9वीं रात्रि में से किसी एक रात्रि का शुभ मुहूर्त पसंद करना चाहिए।

कृष्णपक्ष के दिनों में गर्भ रहे तो पुत्र व शुक्लपक्ष में गर्भ रहे तो पुत्री पैदा होने की सम्भावना होती है।

रात्रि के शुभ समय में से भी प्रथम 15 व अंतिम 15 मिनट का त्याग करके बीच का समय गर्भाधान के लिए निश्चित करें।

गर्भाधान हेतु सप्ताह के 7 दिनों की रात्रियों के शुभ समय इस प्रकार हैं-क

रविवार – 8 से 9 और 9.30 से 3.00

सोमवार – 10.30 से 12.00 और 1.30 से 3.00

मंगलवार – 7.30 से 9 और 10,30 से 1.30

बुधवार – 7.30 से 10.00 और 3.00 से 4.00

गुरुवार 12.00 से 1.30

शुक्रवार – 9.00 से 10.30 और 12.00 से 3.00

शनिवार – 9.00 से 12.00

गर्भधारण के पूर्व कर्तव्यः

रात्रि के समय कम-से-कम तीन दिन पूर्व निश्चित कर लेना चाहिए। निश्चित रात्रि में संध्या होने से पूर्व पति-पत्नी को स्नान करके स्वच्छ वस्त्र पहन कर सदगुरू व इष्टदेवता की पूजा करनी चाहिए।

गर्भाधान एक प्रकार का यज्ञ है। इसलिए इस समय सतत यज्ञ की भावना रखनी चाहिए। विलास की दृष्टि नहीं रखनी चाहिए।

दम्पत्ति अपनी चित्तवृत्तियों को परमात्मा में स्थिर करके उत्तम आत्माओं का आवाहन करते हुए प्रार्थना करेः 'हे ब्रह्माण्ड में विचरण कर रही सूक्ष्म रूपधारी पवित्र आत्माओ ! हम दोनों आपको प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं कि हमारे घर, जीवन व देश को पवित्र तथा उन्नत करने के लिए आप हमारे यहाँ जन्म धारण करके हमें कृतार्थ करें। हम दोनों अपने शरीर, मन, प्राण व बुद्धि को आपके योग्य बनायेंगे।'

पुरुष दायें पैर से स्त्री से पहले शय्या पर आरोहण करे और स्त्री बायें पैर से पति के दक्षिण पार्श्व में शय्या पर चढ़े। तत्पश्चात शय्या पर निम्निलिखित मंत्र पढ़ना चाहिएः

अहिरसि आयुरसि सर्वतः प्रतिष्ठासि धाता

त्वां दधातु विधाता त्वां दधातु ब्रह्मवर्चसा भवेति।

ब्रह्मा बृहस्पतिर्विष्णुः सोम सूर्यस्तथाऽश्विनौ।

भगोऽथ मित्रावरूणौ वीरं ददतु मे सुतम्।।

हे गर्भ ! तुम सूर्य के समान हो। तुम मेरी आयु हो, तुम सब प्रकार से मेरी प्रतिष्ठा हो। धाता (सबके पोषक ईश्वर) तुम्हारी रक्षा करें, विधाता (विश्व के निर्माता ब्रह्मा) तुम्हारी रक्षा करें। तुम ब्रह्मतेज से युक्त होओ।

ब्रह्मा, बृहस्पति, विष्णु, सोम, सूर्य, अश्विनीकुमार और मित्रावरूण जो दिव्य शक्तिरूप हैं, वे मुझे वीर पुत्र प्रदान करें।

(चरक संहिता, शारीरस्थानः 8.8)

दम्पत्ति गर्भ के विषय मे मन लगाकर रहें। इससे तीनों दोष अपने-अपने स्थानों में रहने से स्त्री बीज को ग्रहण करती है। विधिपूर्वक गर्भाधारण करने से इच्छानुकूल फल प्राप्त होता है।

तिथि अनुसार आहार-विहार

प्रतिपदा को कूष्माण्ड(कुम्हड़ा, पेठा) न खाये, क्योंकि यह धन का नाश करने वाला है।

द्वितीया को बृहती (छोटा गन या कटेहरी) खाना निषिद्ध है।

तृतीया को परवल खाना शत्रुओं की वृद्धि करने वाला है।

चतुर्थी को मूली खाने से धन का नाश होता है।

पंचमी को बेल खाने से कलंक लगता है।

षष्ठी को नीम की पत्ती, फल या दातुन मुँह में डालने से नीच योनियों की प्राप्ति होती है।

सप्तमी को ताड़ का फल खाने से रोग बढ़ता है था शरीर का नाश होता है।

अष्टमी को नारियल का फल खाने से बुद्धि का नाश होता है।

नवमी को लौकी खाना गोमांस के समान त्याज्य है।

एकादशी को शिम्बी(सेम), द्वादशी को पूतिका(पोई) अथवा त्रयोदशी को बैंगन खाने से पुत्र का नाश होता है।

अमावस्या, पूर्णिमा, संक्रान्ति, चतुर्दशी और अष्टमी तिथि, रविवार, श्राद्ध और व्रत के दिन स्त्री-सहवास तथा तिल का तेल खाना और लगाना निषिद्ध है।

रविवार के दिन मसूर की दाल, अदरक और लाल रंग का साग नहीं खाना चाहिए।

सूर्यास्त के बाद कोई भी तिलयुक्त पदार्थ नहीं खाना चाहिए।

मैं कौन हूँ ?

अपने सारे दिन की बातचीत में मनुष्य प्रतिदिन न जाने कितनी बार ‘ मैं ’ शब्द का प्रयोग करता है | परन्तु यह एक आश्चर्य की बात है कि प्रतिदिन ‘ मैं ’ और ‘ मेरा ’ शब्द का अनेकानेक बार प्रयोग करने पर भी मनुष्य यथार्थ रूप में यह नहीं जानता कि ‘ मैं ’ कहने वाले सत्ता का स्वरूप क्या है, अर्थात ‘ मैं’ शब्द जिस वस्तु का सूचक है, वह क्या है ? 

आज मनुष्य ने साइंस द्वारा बड़ी-बड़ी शक्तिशाली चीजें तो बना डाली है, उसने संसार की अनेक पहेलियों का उत्तर भी जान लिया है और वह अन्य अनेक जटिल समस्याओं का हल ढूंढ निकलने में खूब लगा हुआ है, परन्तु ‘ मैं ’ कहने वाला कौन है, इसके बारे में वह सत्यता को नहीं जानता अर्थात वह स्वयं को नहीं पहचानता | आज किसी मनुष्य से पूछा जाये कि- “आप कौन है ?” तो वह झट अपने शरीर का नाम बता देगा अथवा जो धंधा वह करता है वह उसका नाम बता देगा |

आप आत्मा हैं .

वास्तव में ‘मैं’ शब्द शरीर से भिन्न चेतन सत्ता ‘आत्मा’ का सूचक है जैसा कि चित्र में दिखाया गया है | मनुष्य (जीवात्मा) आत्मा और शरीर को मिला कर बनता है | जैसे शरीर पाँच तत्वों (जल, वायु, अग्नि, आकाश, और पृथ्वी) से बना हुआ होता है वैसे ही आत्मा मन, बुद्धि और संस्कारमय होती है | आत्मा में ही विचार करने और निर्णय करने की शक्ति होती है तथा वह जैसा कर्म करती है उसी के अनुसार उसके संस्कार बनते है |

आत्मा एक चेतन एवं अविनाशी ज्योति-बिन्दु है जो कि मानव देह में भृकुटी में निवास करती है

आत्मा एक दिव्य सितारे के स्वरुप की है.

जैसे रात्रि को आकाश में जगमगाता हुआ तारा एक बिन्दु-सा दिखाई देता है, वैसे ही दिव्य-दृष्टि द्वारा आत्मा भी एक तारे की तरह ही दिखाई देती है | इसीलिए एक प्रसिद्ध पद में कहा गया है- “भृकुटी में चमकता है एक अजब तारा, गरीबां नूं साहिबा लगदा ए प्यारा |” 

आत्मा का वास भृकुटी में होने के कारण ही मनुष्य गहराई से सोचते समय यही हाथ लगता है | 

आत्मा भृकुटी में निवास करती है.

जब वह यश कहता है कि मेरे तो भाग्य खोटे है, तब भी वह यही हाथ लगता है | आत्मा का यहाँ वास होने के कारण ही भक्त-लोगों में यहाँ ही बिन्दी अथवा तिलक लगाने की प्रथा है | यहाँ आत्मा का सम्बन्ध मस्तिष्क से जुड़ा है और मस्तिष्क का सम्बन्ध सरे शरीर में फैले ज्ञान-तन्तुओं से है | आत्मा ही में पहले संकल्प उठता है और फिर मस्तिष्क तथा तन्तुओं द्वारा व्यक्त होता है | आत्मा ही शान्ति अथवा दुःख का अनुभव करती तथा निर्णय करती है और उसी में संस्कार रहते है | अत: मन और बुद्धि आत्म से अलग नहीं है | परन्तु आज आत्मा स्वयं को भूलकर देह- स्त्री, पुरुष, बूढ़ा जवान इत्यादि मान बैठी है | यह देह-अभिमान ही दुःख का कारण है |

उपरोक्त रहस्य को मोटर के ड्राईवर के उदाहरण द्वारा भी स्पष्ट किया गया है | शरीर मोटर के समान है तथा आत्मा इसका ड्राईवर है, अर्थात जैसे ड्राईवर मोटर का नियंत्रण करता है, उसी प्रकार आत्मा शरीर का नियंत्रण करती है | आत्मा के बिना शरीर निष्प्राण है, जैसे ड्राईवर के बिना मोटर | 

अत: परमपिता परमात्मा कहते है कि अपने आपको पहचानने से ही मनुष्य इस शरीर रूपी मोटर को चला सकता है और अपने लक्ष्य (गन्तव्य स्थान) पर पहुंच सकता है | अन्यथा जैसे कि ड्राईवर कार चलाने में निपुण न होने के कारण दुर्घटना (Accident) का शिकार बन जाता है और कार उसके यात्रियों को भी चोट लगती है, इसी प्रकार जिस मनुष्य को अपनी पहचान नहीं है वह स्वयं तो दुखी और अशान्त होता ही है, साथ में अपने सम्पर्क में आने वाले मित्र-सम्बन्धियों को भी दुखी व अशान्त बना देता है | अत: सच्चे सुख व सच्ची शान्ति के लिए स्वयं को जानना अति आवश्यक है |

आत्मा के टीम मुख्य अंग होते है - मन , बुद्धि और संस्कार. इनके बारे में पाठ २ में चर्चा करेंगे.

I am writing to you to draw your attention to a correspondence I had with AAP on October 10 via e-mail on the plight of migrant workers. The mail from my side and the reply is copied below.

New Delhi has a huge migrant population from different parts of the country. In India nearly 30% of the population consists of migrants. Yet there is no policy on the migrant population. India is becoming more and more urbanised and people from rural India are more and more leaving for the city in search of livelihood. Delhi has a huge migrant population. Yet there is no policy which regulates this process of migration and the migrants are forced to live and work in circumstances that render them second class citizens in their own country.

I humbly request you, Sir, to look into the plight of the migrant workers in Delhi and announce definite policy measures for their well-being.

We are facing a severe problem of growing instances of power failure for the last three months in our locality.             In our locality there are many students who are preparing for their upcoming Board Exams as well as for other final examinations. But, this irregularity in electric supply is causing obstacles in their preparation. Sir, you also know, this year the summer is extremely hot so the old people facing it very difficult to tackle the problem. The problems of current supply also lead to some other illegal activities in our locality.             We have already given many complaints to our local authority. In your letter to the Prime Minister dated 9-8-2013, you have very aptly summarized the situation prevailing in Tamil Nadu, and in a way in the whole of India. You have rightly remarked and demanded the most appropriate measures, saying, “The social tensions over the status of unbalanced growth between the Hindu Scheduled Castes and the Christian converts have only aggravated over time and the sense of alienation amongst the minority communities has further deepened. Therefore, I wish to emphasize that the matter cannot brook any further delay. I, therefore, request that Scheduled Caste Christians be treated on par with Hindus, Sikhs or Buddhists, and should be included in the list of Scheduled Castes annexed to the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. To enable this, as recommended by the Ranganath Misra Commission, para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, must be deleted.”
You have been equally thoughtful and concerned with a number of Writ Petitions pending before the Supreme court in this regard and you demanded that, “Early disposal of the pending Writ Petitions in the Supreme Court filed by or on behalf of Scheduled Caste converts to Christianity challenging the validity of para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order should also be ensured by the Government of India by filing its counter affidavit supporting the request of Scheduled Caste Christians”.
It is indeed very heartening to learn that you have been championing the cause of the Dalit Christians for a long time, which fact many Christians in the country may not be aware of. In your letter you have mentioned, “ I had written to the then Prime Minister of India on 28th November, 1995, urging that Scheduled Caste persons professing Christianity should be included in the list of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes through an Act of Parliament, meeting the requirements of Articles 341(1) and 342(2) of the Constitution. The issue of inclusion of the Scheduled Caste Christians within the definition of the term Scheduled Castes has been the subject of repeated representations by Scheduled Caste Christian groups and protracted correspondence initiated by the Government of Tamil Nadu with the Government of India. The substantive grounds that I had listed in my first letter on this issue still hold good,” and this clearly shows that you have been concerned with this problem for a very long time.
Late Shri. M.G. Ramachandran, your predecessor and mentor, decades ago, when he was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, had also taken a bold and a progressive step to extend all such benefits to the SC Christians within the State as given to the SCs in the Hindu fold. He had also taken a bold step to treat all Christians converted from other backward classes on par with their counterparts in the Hindu fold for all State aids.
Walking as you are Madam, on his foot-steps, we are sure, you would never lag behind in your generosity to the suffering lot to whatever religions they may belong. That is precisely what is needed in a social, democratic and secular set up like ours. Hope and pray that the dreams dreamt by the Framers of our Constitution would become a reality better sooner than later. Our good wishes and prayers are with you in this great fight for the most neglected sections of this country.

Media reports indicate that the village of Mishroli has been made ‘Muslim Free’. What is even more shocking is that this intolerance and hate is being perpetrated in a state ruled by Congress. We have faith in your government and we urge you to ensure that the safety and basic human rights of all citizen’s are protected. We also appeal to you to bring the culprits to justice and ban Bajrang Dal and VHP as these organizations are a threat to the very ideals on which our country was founded.

We also wish to remind you that though the bodies like the Bajrang Dal and VHP may be more visible and louder than those who oppose them — the majority of Indians do not support politics of hatred. Further, there is worldwide experience that divisiveness, hatred and violence hampers investment and thereby economic as well as social progress. We look to leaders like yourself to uphold the law and secure a prosperous and peaceful future for the people of Rajasthan and India.

As a humble "aam" blogger let me congratulate you on your remarkable success in the New Delhi Assembly Election of 2013. You have already made history by transforming a civil society movement into a successfully political party, a feat unmatched in recent history of India.

I am writing to you to draw your attention to a correspondence I had with AAP on October 10 via e-mail on the plight of migrant workers. The mail from my side and the reply is copied below.

New Delhi has a huge migrant population from different parts of the country. In India nearly 30% of the population consists of migrants. Yet there is no policy on the migrant population. India is becoming more and more urbanised and people from rural India are more and more leaving for the city in search of livelihood. Delhi has a huge migrant population. Yet there is no policy which regulates this process of migration and the migrants are forced to live and work in circumstances that render them second class citizens in their own country.

I humbly request you, Sir, to look into the plight of the migrant workers in Delhi and announce definite policy measures for their well-being.

Sub: “Building communal harmony in the State and safe guarding spirit of the      Constitution of India.”

Sir,

I wish to thank you for the efforts you have made to build communal harmony in the state from time to time. You have also set a fine example of communal harmony in the state by organizing religious festivals of all major religions in the Chief Minister’s official residence. However, I would like to make a few suggestions to you that will further help in strengthening your efforts to building up peace and communal harmony in the state and adhering to the Article 51A (e) of the Fundamental Duties enshrined  in the constitution of India. You may also recall that many occasions you have reaffirmed your firm commitment to communal harmony as describing it as the cornerstone for peace and harmony in the state. I have full faith in your commitment for peace and ability to translate it into reality as Chief Minister of the state.

Context of the Letter:  Each State Government in the Country is bound to uphold the constitution of India through its words and deeds. However, it has been noticed that one religion got predominance over other religions when it came to naming different government schemes under your stewardship.  Without any bias or malafide intention, I would like to draw your kind attention to the names of some of the flagship programmes of your government launched for the welfare of the people such as Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Balram Tal Yojana , Kapildhara Yojana , Vikramaditya Nishulk Shiksha Yojana , Anna Prashan and Surya Namaskar interalia etc. Nevertheless, I would like to add that in my brief study into the naming of flagship programmes of your government, made me to wonder how barring one religion all other religions in the state got ignored. Moreover, in Bhoomi Pujan/inauguration for government construction/programme barring one religion all other religions in the state are totally ignored or not represented, this I feel as blatant violation of the secular fabric of the constitution.

I also would like to take this opportunity to draw your kind attention into some of the provisions in the constitution of India that unmistakably underlines its secular characteristics in letter and spirit.

1. The preamble of Constitution of India clearly states that “WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC…” 

 I quote from the objectives described in the preamble of the Constitution “The word secular implies equality of all religions and religious tolerance making it amply clear that there is no official state religion in the country. One has, thus, the right to preach, practice and propagate any religion he/she chooses. The government shall not favour or discriminate against any religion. It must treat all religions with equal respect. All citizens, irrespective of their religious beliefs are equal in the eyes of law.” The Supreme Court in S.R Bommai v. Union of India held that secularism was an integral part of the basic structure of the constitution.

 Therefore, there is no ambiguity that all religions are equal before the law and promoting one religion is constitutionally void by any democratically elected government.

 2. Article 28,(1&3) Freedom as to attendance at religious instruction or religious worship in certain educational institutions 

(1) No religious instruction shall be provided in any educational institution wholly maintained out of State funds. 

The Constitution of India does not permit religious instruction such as the Surya Namaskar, Bhojan Mantra,  introduction of Gita Sar (Content of Gita) and other sacraments of Hindu religion in the academic which curriculum violates the basic principal of Constitution. The Baghwat Gita is a Hindu holy scripture.

 (3) No person attending any educational institution recognised by the State or receiving aid out of State funds shall be required to take part in any religious instruction that may be imparted in such institution or to attend any religious worship that may be conducted in such institution or in any premises attached thereto unless such person or, if such person is minor, his guardian has given his consent thereto.

Religious instruction about the tenets of one religion will prove to be against the basic principle of Secularism enshrined in the Constitution other than as a subject to introduce the children about a religion. It will not be out of contest to mention that your government brought compulsory practices of Surya Namaskar and Bhojan Mantra in school. When minority communities knocked at the doors of the court, you made it optional even then, it violates the secular fabrics of the constitution, as a section of the students is forced to practice their religious belief in a school totally or partially funded by the tax payers money. Giving insight into what is Surya Namaskar, Bhojan Mantra,  Gita Sar and teaching sacraments of Hindu religion in school is part of the academic curriculum, but making students to practice it in the premises of a school, needs re-consideration.

It will not be inappropriate to mention here that this kind of practice in the schools will gradually lead to religious division in the minds of children and communal disharmony as well. 

 3. Article 27 Freedom as to payment of taxes for promotion of any particular religion 

No person shall be compelled to pay any taxes, the proceeds of which are specifically appropriated in payment of expenses for the promotion or maintenance of any particular religion or religious denomination.

 It would be better to bring to your notice that the state is not collecting any tax for the purpose of teaching any religion but spending the tax payers’ money in religious education, Bhoomi Pujan, running religious matters of a particular religion too is using the money of the tax payers who are from different religions.

 4. Article 15 Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth 

(1) The State shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them. 

The state promoting one religion is discrimination against believers of other religions. So it is always at the greater interest of the state to have basic values of all religions taught rather than promoting one religion through government schemes and education.

Appeal

1. Introduce good teachings of all religions as a subject in the academic curriculum instead of a particular religion. It will indeed help to promote harmony and peace.

2. It would be at the best interest of all religious communities to give equal chance to all the religions when it comes to christening government schemes/programmes one after another, if at all the government wants to continue with this practice. However, it would be better to avoid involving religion and religious names in the government programmes.

 3. It would be nice to introduce an all religious prayer in inauguration, foundation stone laying ceremonies etc. in government programmes or programmes that utilizes tax payers money instead of the current practice of reciting the prayers from one religion, to uphold the secular values of the constitution, if at all the government wishes to have religious prayer. However, it would be more appropriate to evolve a purely secular form of inauguration/foundation laying ceremony.

 I request you to take appropriate steps to uphold the secular credentials of the constitution for a prosperous future of Madhya Pradesh.

We always feel proud when we tell somebody that we are from Bihar, a state which is always known for its tolerance, non-violence and communal harmony. The land of several great personalities, such as Mahatma Gautam Buddha, Chandragupta Maurya, Ashoka the great, the great Pathan of Bihar, Sher Shah "Suri”, and the tenth and the last Guru of Sikhism, Guru Gobind Singh. Bihar has given the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the freedom fighter and great son of India. Our rich history is witness that we have always worked to bring our country together and spread communal harmony all over India.

Bihar has produced several great poets, writers and scholars, such as Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Phanishwar Nath ‘Renu’, Baba Nagarjun, Arun Kamal, Aalok Dhanwa, Janab Shaad Azimabadi, Khuda Baksh Khan, Maulana Shabnam Kamali, Bismil Azimabadi (well known for the famous and patriotic poem “Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil mein hai"), Kaif Azimabadi, and Kalim Ajiz. All these great personalities have always tried to bring our country together. We always respect the cultural and religious diversity and beliefs. We have always been taught to respect each and every person of all the communities. Even at the time of great crisis (Babri Masjid demolition time on 6th December 1992) whole India was burning but Bihar maintained communal harmony. We have always believed on non-violence but in the last few years, the people of Bihar are facing humiliation and ill-treatment in other parts of the country to the extent that it seems that we are not the part of this great country. This atrocity is not only done by some self-centered and motivated persons of our motherland but also the civil servants of our country, who are supposed to provide protection to each and every citizen of our country.

Respected Hon’ble Chief Minister Nitish Kumarji all people from Bihar were proud and elated when you were chosen as the best CM in India. We Biharis see eye to eye the good and yeoman works done by you and your government for the welfare and betterment of Bihar. The outstanding work done by you has given you the Chief-minister ship second time.

Your good self would have also observed recently that how the innocent people from Bihar have been tortured or killed in other States particularly in Maharashtra (recently 6 Biharis were killed in Chennai in an unwarranted encounter) and the Police incapacity to prevent the atrocities against Biharis. Nowadays they don’t even give the suspects a chance to prove their innocence (we have seen in recent Chennai massacre).

You are also aware that recently how the young educated persons especially from minority community of Bihar who are working in other parts of our country have been targeted by police of other States and given the name “Bihar Modules” to defame Bihar. Our young generation has been wrongfully associated with worse crimes of our country without any evidence and proof. They are blindly targeting our young generation particularly Muslim youths.

But what is more unfortunate is that people from Bihar particularly minorities are ill-treated in their own land Bihar. We Muslim from Bihar are amazed and shocked at this. Muslim Youths are arrested and abducted by Police (STF) at random without any solid evidence and the relatives are not even given information about the whereabouts of their dear-ones which is a serious human rights violation and causing serious mental agony to the family members. A recent example was the arrest of Mr. Moahmmed Kafeel a cycle fitter from Dharbhanga,, Bihar by STF. His arrest took place as a state sponsored kidnapping.

Ill-treatment of People of Bihar in their own land adds insult to the injury already suffered by Biharis in other parts of India. All these incidences might lead the young generation to a very deadly wrong path, this gives an opportunity to very few fanatic communal groups to pollute young immature minds.

Honorable Sir, we sincerely request you to take appropriate action to protect our young and bright, future generation of Bihar, who are always interested to play a positive and constructive role in the development of Bihar and also of India.

Letters to the Honorable Prine Minister

To: The Prime Minister of India, 

Sir,

We are shocked and saddened at the utter capitulation of the Government of India to corporate interests. The June 7 verdict and the shoddy manner in which the Central Bureau of Investigation has conducted the case concerning the world's worst industrial disaster is shameful, to say the least. The failure to do anything to bring Union Carbide Corporation and Warren Anderson to India to face trial indicates that India is more responsive to the instructions of the US Government than to notions of justice and fair play towards its citizens.

India still remains the world's largest democracy. The nationwide outrage and the manner in which the outrage sent the Government scrambling is an indication that the Government should not underestimate the power of its people. Despite the passage of 26 years, or probably because of it, the wounds caused by Bhopal on our collective conscience are still raw. The casual manner in which the Prime Minister's office has been corresponding with Dow CEO Andrew Liveris, the support extended to Liveris and Dow by various Ministers and top officials is in stark contrast to the cavalier treatment extended by the Government and police towards the Bhopal survivors. It is curious that your Government has permitted sales of absconder Union Carbide's confiscable technology to Reliance, even while remaining inactive in pursuing the absconder to face trial in India.

As the Prime Minister of the country, the well-being of India's citizens is your responsibility. As the Minister in-charge of CBI, the blame for the mishandling of the criminal case lies squarely in your office. That said, there are things that you can do to undo this legal disaster and live up to the promise you made to Bhopal survivors in 2006 and 2008, and your statement to the Parliament in December 2009 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary.

1. Set up a Special Prosecution Cell to expedite the case against Warren Anderson, Union Carbide Corporation and Union Carbide Eastern by producing the foreign accused in India to face trial. 

2. Set up Empowered Commission on Bhopal to plan and execute rehabilitation schemes for survivors and their children. 

3. Blacklist Dow Chemical's business in India. 

4. Ensure that Dow Chemical and Union Carbide India Ltd pay for the clean-up of the toxic contaminated site and groundwater in Bhopal, and compensate the people affected by the contamination.

Letters to the Honorable Chief Minister Implementation of NREGA

Shri Madhu Koda Chief Minister Government of Jharkhand Respected Chief Minister, Implementation of NREGA in Jharkhand A delegation of the Central Employment Guarantee Council visited Jharkhand on 20-23 May to assess the status of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) in the state. We visited Ranchi, Palamau and Saraikela Districts and held extensive discussions with NREGA workers and other local residents, as well as with government officials in Ranchi. We also participated in the social audit of Ranchi District on 14-20 May, which gave extensive insights into the functioning NREGA at the ground level. Some members of the delegation had visited Jharkhand last year, and they observed some important improvements, such as better awareness of the Act, more extensive distribution of job cards, and higher levels of employment. A special note of appreciation is due to the Government of Jharkhand for extending full cooperation to the social audit in Ranchi District. This response, too, is an important sign of positive change. Having said this, we would like to draw your attention to various issues that need to be urgently addressed if NREGA is to make further progress in Jharkhand. These include: (1) inadequate NREGA staff; (2) exploitative work measurement; (3) delays in wage payments; (4) institutional arrangements; and (5) monitoring systems. These concerns are discussed in further detail in the attached note. A fuller report will be prepared soon, for the consideration of the Central Employment Guarantee Council as well as of the Government of Jharkhand. Meanwhile we urge you to ensure that prompt action is taken to address these concerns, as well as to deal firmly with the specific complaints that have emerged from the social audit (these have been conveyed separately to the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, and the Secretary, Rural Development). Needless to say, political leadership at the highest level is also essential to ensure the survival and success of the Employment Guarantee Act. Everywhere we went, we have noticed positive signs of the tremendous potential of this Act in rural Jharkhand, whether it is in terms of providing economic security, or of empowering the rural poor, or of creating productive assets. The first step in realizing this potential is to ensure that this far-reaching initiative receives the attention and support it deserves. Sincerely, Jean Drèze, Annie Raja, Aruna Roy (Members, Central Employment Guarantee Council) Implementation of NREGA in Jharkhand: ∗Some Major Concerns 1. Inadequate staff: In spite of NREGA having come into force more than 15 months ago, no staff has been appointed to address the enormous requirements involved in implementing this Act. A financial provision of 4% of total expenditure has been made for administrative expenses, which needs to be used immediately to appoint key personnel such as Rozgar Sevaks, technical assistants and Programme Officers. While the Chief Secretary informed us that 5,500 posts were about to be created for this purpose, experience elsewhere shows that the process of hiring new staff can take a long time. Therefore it is crucially important that this process is completed within a specified time frame, without compromising on principles of transparency and fairness in appointments. 2. Work requirements and measurement: One of the most confusing and arbitrary aspects of the implementation of NREGA relates to the norms and work measurement under the "task wage" system. Visits to many worksites made it clear that (1) the work norms are far too demanding (making it impossible for most workers to earn the minimum wage by working for seven hours at a normal pace, as required under the Act); (2) arrangements for measurement are not in place and it is unreasonable to expect competent, fair and transparent measurement from the implementing agencies; (3) due to obscure norms and measurement, the task-rate system is being used as a means of exploiting labour. Some of the steps that are urgently required to address these issues include: time and motion studies to revise the "schedule of rates"; demystification and wide publicity of the schedule of rates; training of a panel of worksite supervisors ("mates") for supervising and measuring the work as well as for related tasks such as muster roll maintenance. 3. Wage payments: The main complaint of most of the NREGA workers we met is delayed payment, under-payment and even non-payment of wages. The current payment arrangements are deeply flawed. In particular, (1) the payment agency is the same as the implementation agency, make it much easier to fudge muster rolls and siphon off wages, (2) even where payments are made through Post Office and bank accounts, funds are routed through the implementing agency in the first instance, defeating the main purpose of payments being made by a separate agency, (3) in any case the Post Office and banks are utterly unequipped to perform this role, especially in the remote and deprived areas where NREGA is most needed, (4) NREGA arrangements for advance funds being available at the District level to ensure timely payments do not seem to be working (implementing agencies at the ground level are being squeezed between labourers demanding payments on one side and cheques not being released on the other). [**] 4. Institutional arrangements: The absence of elected Gram Panchayats and Panchayati Raj Institutions in Jharkhand makes it extremely difficult to implement NREGA properly. In the absence of Gram Panchayats, "Abhikarta Samitis" (supposedly constituted by the Gram Sabha) have been formed to implement NREGA works. However, this arrangement is deeply flawed. Once the money is transferred from the Block office to the Samiti, there is no institutional means of ensuring that the workers get their due. The Samiti itself is in a position of disadvantage vis-à-vis the Block officials, and this opens up possibilities of corruption. Finally, when the workers don't get their due, they have no-one to turn to for justice. This arrangement also enables government officials to escape responsibility by placing the blame on the Samiti. As the name itself indicates, the "Abhikarta Samitis" are really de facto contractors, which are banned under the Act. While there is no substitute for elected Gram Panchayats, it seems clear to us that the 'Abhikarta Samiti' system needs immediate and radical change. For instance, "mates" should be in place at each worksite to record attendance, maintain muster rolls, ensure regular measurement, etc., so that power and responsibility are not concentrated in the hands of the Samiti. Similarly, owners of land on which NREGA works are being implemented should be included in monitoring committees instead of being allowed to run the Samitis. The government itself, through its own staff, needs to take more responsibility for generating demand, monitoring the works and redressing complaints. In the present system, there is no way of ensuring adequate implementation and fixing accountability. 5. Monitoring: Extensive overhaul of the monitoring arrangements is another urgent task. As things stand, the records maintained by the Samitis do not lend themselves to verification, making the entire system vulnerable to corruption. For instance, there are duplicate muster rolls, and while payments are usually made on a "piece-rate" basis, muster rolls record attendance rather than tasks. Similarly, there are extensive problems of record maintenance and verification in relation to Post Office payments, work measurement, and so on. An entire system of "parallel records" has developed, whereby implementing agencies maintain their own records for operational purposes, while official records are massaged to satisfy the formal requirements and hide the irregularities. Major improvements could be achieved by learning from recent experiences of effective record maintenance and monitoring in states such as Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Needless to say, it is also important to insist on strict implementation of the NREGA transparency safeguards, such as keeping muster rolls at the worksite, entering wage payments in the job cards, making wage payments in public, and so. Very little of this is happening as things stand.

Dear Chief Minister,

                I am forwarding an email I have received stating that a woman in Maharashtra has been arrested for protesting on Facebook against the shut down in Mumbai on the occasion of the death of Mr. Bal Thackeray. It is alleged that she has been arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

To my mind it is absurd to say that protesting against a bandh hurts religious sentiments. Under Article 19(1)(a) of our Constitution freedom of speech is a guaranteed fundamental right . We are living in a democracy, not a fascist dictatorship. In fact this arrest itself appears to be a criminal act since under sections 341 and 342 it is a crime to wrongfully arrest or wrongfully confine someone who has committed no crime.

Hence if the facts reported are correct, I request you to immediately order the suspension, arrest, chargesheeting and criminal prosecution of the police personnel (however high they may be) who ordered as well as implemented the arrest of that woman, failing which I will deem it that you as Chief Minister are unable to run the state in a democratic manner as envisaged by the Constitution to which you have taken oath, and then the legal consequences will follow.

This is a common man who is in deep concern about the future of out Motherland.. We live in a country which is ruled by political heavyweights and babus placed at high offices.. I was having a great trouble in trying to believe wholeheartedly in that line of the Preamble which defines India as a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC but the reality is something far away from it..

Are we really Sovereign, yes we now do not have the Britishers but now we face an even greater trouble of enemies who are the sons of this soil.. are we really Socialist and Secular as we see the Social Caste system and the Religious issues costing lives of millions of innocent people.. Are we really Democratic when a young girl gets arrested to say that Bal Thackeray was a common man and her friend was arrested for a "like".. what was the fault of the girl who liked the comment.. are we not supposed to even have an opinion. This was absolutely insane..

Hurting Religious Sentiments is obviously a great evil and should be indeed dealt with a severe punishment as it can instigate violence but i am just having trouble to comprehend what was hurting in the comment.. People can search YouTube and can get many video footage's where Bal Thackeray claimed himself to be a common man..In fact this is what politicians claim to get sympathy and hence convert into votes..

All of this was creating huge trouble in me to believe in the overall effectiveness of the Indian Constitution but it is because of people like you who are the real sons of soil that my faith has been restored.. Issues like these will come and will increase... Democracy may be does not mean freedom of expression but they hell no cannot take our quest back of claiming rightfully whats ours.. you making this statement and people all over the world supporting this cause does proves that yes India is a democratic country and will always be.
