Unwarranted and unhealthy practice of Public Authority calling RTI Applicant to show RTI Fee Receipt be stopped..

To,
The Chief Secretary,
Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi,
DELHI SECRETARIAT,I.P.ESTATE, NEW DELHI-110 002.

Dear Sir,
After having paid the requisite RTI Application Fee and enclosing a copy of
the Cash Receipt, issued by the Public Authority for having received the
Fee, alongwith the RTI Application as proof of RTI Application Fee paid,
there should be absolutely no need for the CPIO or the Public Authority to
personally call the RTI Applicant just to show original Cash Receipt issued
by the same Public Authority when it can be very well verified from their
own documents.
Some Public Authorities may be using this undesired bureaucratic tactics of
personally calling RTI Applicant when the stipulated 30 days period to
furnish the requested information is going to be over & use it as a pretext
to wrongly deny the RTI information.
Such unwarranted and unhealthy practice of Public Authority calling the
RTI Applicant personally to his office be stopped and necessary
instructions may kindly be issued.
Kindly acknowledge receipt and confirm action taken.

Secretary,
