रेलवे

Nowadays we find agents everywhere in all govt offices like RTO office, courts, tehsildar office, etc etc.. you will not get anything approved by govt official unless your application passed through some agents with some charges.. sorry sorry it cannot be called as charges.. I call it as bribes. The similar business is now been carry forwarded to all govt transport facilities too. We will face same situation of over and sort of illegal booking everywhere either it is a bus booking or train.. Some govt staff from respective dept. also have joined their hands in such business to earn money easily. Sometimes I feel that the whole system is being run by agents these days, including the govt toilets also! I am so annoyed with current state of the system. But after all these agents are emerged from 'us' only, we the Indian citizens!! Then how do we change the system? ultimately we are running the system in this way. Why are we becoming agents? because of unemployment!! Then who should eradicate the unemployment? ultimately, it's us only. What options do we have to do so? due to all money hungry non skilled govts, we have only one option left with us i.e. self employment. Then what business we can do? In today's costly world, to fulfill our basic requirements we need to earn more money quickly and easily.. at the end we need to jump into some money river which is flowing towards all private accounts of money hungry govt officials.. So..... we are becoming agent!! The final status is.. our system remains same non and never changeable.. we need flow with the river finally!!! :)

WE should consider the reason behind flourishing business of touts. It is shortage. Why can't railways increase the capacity more than demand so that tickets will be available on demand. No waiting or RAC. If Indian Railways are unable to do this on their own they should allow private players to run trains on their tracks, like the scenarion in Airtravel where many private airlines operate and there is no shortage of seats+passengers get competitive air fares. Same principle can be applied to trains-create 10% surplus capacity and black marketeers will be out of their business

The moto of the Railway should be to run the existing facilities efficiently and plug the loop holes to check corruption and loss of revenue to exchequer.
There are trains which are 40 to 50% empty before reaching its destination.
Say for example a train from Chandigarh to Mumbai.
Now there is good passenger traffic from Vadodara or Surat for Mumbai and Railway can cater to such traffic and generate revenue.
At present such vacent seats (berths) are allotted by TTE by accepting money of the record and allowing the passenger to travel in upper class.
A passenger who has to travel to Mumbai from Vadodara/Surat at last minute is bound to get a waiting list ticket. This ticket is most likely to get confirmed most likely after the preparation of chart But People are yet to get acquainted to this idea in the process Railway looses revenue which in turn is being pocketed by third party.
Today communication is pretty fast so my suggestion is that after the train leaves a particular station say Bharuch, announcement must be made on public address system in Vadodara Station that in such a such train so many berts are available in 2nd, 3rd ac, 2nd ac and 1st ac and people should be provided tickets in counter. I THINK SUCH A SYSTEM IS IN VOGUE AT VADODARA STATION.
But at Surat Station invariably there is a board at current reservation counter that "No berth is available in train" This is a permanent feature.
However, when approached through coolie, the same is available.
There is good traffic between Vadodara/Surat to Mumbai and vice versa.
Same must be the case with other Major junctions say Bangaluru, Chennai, Kolkatta, Delhi & Hyderabad to quote a few
